climbing rope bags are good, some have mesh liners for drainage and drawstring on the top, try some climbing gear websites

I use one of these tied to to D rings at the bow....

I drill a few holes out at the base for drainage.

I've been through several bags on my bombard. The weight of anything in there rips all the stitching out if it's hanging from the top.....

The only way to avoid this is I think to have the button of the bag sitting on deck carrying the weight....or only go out on flat calm days...hmm.....

I have a black bow bag with new zip fitted.

Worth a look if you are near me.

Take £12 or it

I am between Salisbury and Southampton

Interested?

PS - You really need to look rather than use a photo.

Agree, we use those flexi buckets, sometimes called 'Goriller' ? buckets for stowing line & shot-weights. Drill drainage holes in bottom. Cost only a few quid from diy stores. Very flexible too!

I need to be able to see it somehow, do you have a pic or is their one on the makers website?

What about a milk crate? The anchor line flakes in nicely, and mine holds my anchor perfectly, plus it is vented. I use bungees to hold it in place.

Just a thought, good luck with your search.

As XS400 appears to be sorted I am interested in the bag you have.
Would you be prepared to post it at my cost if I couldn't get over to you to collect it?
Thanks
Nasher.

Yes no problem.

Happy to send it on approval as well. I'd rather you looked at before buying as it is clearly used but serviceable.

However, I am away from home all this week so cannot post till next weekend. Looking at the weather forecast for this week I would venture to suggest you may not be going out anyway!

Pm address details at your leisure.

Cheers
Ian
