Blackberry 3G or iphone 3

My Daughter has her heart set on the above, however when I looked at contract prices I was a little shocked. I've decided the most economical way to full fill my daughters dreams is to buy a good used example for as little money as I can and buy Goody bags from Giff Gaff.

So anyone got one of the above laying around to help me out?

blackberry messenger (bbm) is what everyone uses at my school, it's mostly a girly thing though.

Yeh, that's why my Daughter wants one, but she'd rather have an iphone. Just a question of how many ££'s

They are more or less the same price used, but the Blackberrys do seem better constructed judging from what I've seen on Ebay tonight.

Not. I used my iPhone for two years but it and iTunes always frustrated me, I then changed to an Android phone and it allows me to do what I want not just what Apple allow or think I want.

3 Gs were a decent leap forward but not as much as the 4 .. i'm guessing you had a 3 ?

Nope, I didn't. The systems are different and the Android took a bit more learning but it is streets ahead in flexibility. It's better to view the modern Android phone as a pocket computer with a phone function rather than a phone that can also do some other stuff.
However, we're off track and I guess Andy is going to have to cave in to a Blackberry or he'll not get peace.

I'm talking to a couple of forum members at the moment, I think we might be verging the iphone.

There are a couple more to throw into the mix. There are the HTC androids and then the Samsung galaxy s2. I did loads of research for my first android / i phone a couple of months ago and you will find the Samsung galaxy s2 is so much better than the i phones and beats the new 4s i phone. My heart was set on the i phone until i did my homework. Just have a quick search Google and Samsung comes out on top. Plus its cheaper line rental. Not sure what the costs are for phone only though. Plus i tunes imports onto the galaxy so you don't loose you music if you have i tunes. Just a thought, but gives you more options.

They are "trusted" members so much better than ebay. If I had my way my Daughter would have a brick of a phone, bought home a Nokia E72 today, the look on her face was priceless when I told her I'd already bought it
