For Sale: 90hp & 70hp

Is there any one out there that can answer this question.
Is a 2004 70hp 4 stroke suzuki outboard engine the same engine as a 90hp 4 stroke suzuki outboard?
As they weigh the same 341 pounds.
Any help would much appreciated.

No, the DF60/70 from 2004 are basically the same motor, while the DF90 is the same as the DF115.

Thanks For that Downhilldai but dos that mean that the 2004 DF70hp & DF60hp have the same pawer head and if so could you actually tweak up the pawer on the DF60hp to become a DF70hp?

Possibly. But you'd be looking at a different ecu for a start and probably different mechanical components too. I know the larger engines based on matching blocks have different valve trains for example.

Best to check a parts listing to see which components differ.
