New owner joining this place with surplus F470. Looks like standard issue: holds air nice, lacks floor. Looking for used al deck or guess will have to build something out of marine grade plywood. Scouring web for info on repair/maintenance. Amazingly nothing. It appears for awhile NAVY had file publicly available circa 2011: http://usmc.boats.dt.navy.mil/crrc/z...SM%20Cover.pdf
But now it's hidden behind private certificate. I'm sure there is nothing secret about it. It's just part of overall access clamp down.

I was able to find specs pages: Read F470 Field Manual Revised
Least interesting part.

Maintenance, parts list, etc mostly missing. Few maintenance pages here CRRC FSM V

There are parts I, II, III, IV, V, and VI. Looks like.

Has anyone downloaded original files. Can anyone share. Privately if necessary.
Pretty please,
Tremendously appreciate it.

Hi all,
being a bit, no, completely new to all this I'm looking for a general consensus over whether auxiliary engines are common or not. I have been gifted a 6hp Yamaha 2t but once it sits on the transom there isn't enough width for it. Now, has anyone else got a Searider, with an A-frame and running an auxiliary engine?

I have a 90hp Mariner on mine now & really, I'd prefer to take more fuel than an extra engine, weight wise.....

Any comments would be appreciated.

Cheers all,
Al.
