Well.... the original plan was for a round the IOW trip, but in the end we just made the trip from Southampton to the Island

(Note I thought these big RIBs were supposed to be dryser than TomKat!)

Great pics Jools. If you thought it got slightly wet in Topaz just think how wet it would have been on TomKat

The slip we used was "Crosshouse Hard" in Southampton - a stones throw from RIBEX and Ocean Village Marina.

The page on the new updated boatlaunch website is

http://www.boatlaunch.co.uk/Site_dataPage91.html

I'll post Geoff the pictures of the slip to add to his site.

Good slip - but stick to the middle as that part extends, the sides drop off! - Could clearly be seen at low tide on the Sunday.

Jools,
How was the Ribcraft 5.85 demo? What were your thoughts on the 115EFI Fourstroke? Have you ordered a similar setup on yours?

To be honest the ribcraft "Sales people" wern't the most helpfull - infact I don't know how they manage to sell any!!

Apart from of course their product! - It looked supurb and very well finished.

I'm buying my Ribcraft through a dealer - the main reason why I went through a dealer was that when I rang Ribcraft to go and have a look at the boats nobody was able to talk to me till the following week - Rang the dealer very helpfull and he took me out for a test drive that weekend.

I wanted to check out the Ribcraft console and seats at RIBEX as the delears boat has his own console and seats in it.

I was very happy with what I saw at RIBEX - High firm jockey seats. I've also now ordered the windscreen to go ontop of the console - should protect the back of the GPS a bit!

So anyway - back to your question - I didn't have a test run at RIBEX - and I'm going for a 90Hp 4-stroke Mercury..... and I can't wait
