You can also see the fish which my kids love! :) Nick Neal 22 September 2004, 09:48 One of the boat mags is looking at 4 fish finders this month around the price you want full review. If you cant find it give me a PM and i will try and get you a copy. ollyit 22 September 2004, 10:08 Cheers mate, I'll hava nose at lunchtime;fanx :D Mark 22 September 2004, 10:50 Ollyit, I've been through the same thought process myself and eventually bought a fish finder last week at the SBS. For me the decision was easy. Depth finder - shows depth Fish finder - shows depth, shows fish, gives me speed and water temperature As I plan to do some fishing from my RIB, the fish finder won. I bought a Raymarine DS400  Mark Hightower 22 September 2004, 11:47 Olly, buy a Navman fishfinder with the speed transducer like I have. Should be able to get a good deal on an older model, mabe £110 or so. I'll have a look when I get home tonight. Andy ollyit 22 September 2004, 12:41 Cheer Andys! to know my speed would be good also :) :D Hightower 22 September 2004, 18:54 Navman Fishfinder 4150 with T/M Transducer inc Speed & Temp http://www.nautequipe.co.uk/ £126.00 But worth the extra money for the speed sensor I think Andy Gazza 22 September 2004, 21:20 want to spend around £100 preferably less, or do I just buy a fishfinder instead? :D thanks I use a lowrance M52S/GPS fish finder and gps plotter... ItS a pretty compact unit and seems to work really well....
