Mariner Gauges

I m looking to add a tacho and temperature gauge to my Mariner 30hp, (?1992), I ve got all the wiring loom but..

I ve been quoted around £200+VAT for the gauges plus the pod to hold them!

Anyone know if VDO instruments - £19.99 on Ebay will work or can anyone suggest cheaper alternatives?

I bought some of those guages fromlo tension, they seemed a good company to deal with, I sold them in a moment of financial weekness to David Manning who probably would know the answer tothe question.

That's who I was considering but they don't seem interested in answering emails or returning calls....

Did they work?
