I have just changed the way that images are shown on the forums. Instead of every image being shown full size, they are now shown as thumbnails (small images) which you can click on to see the full size picture.
This will radically increase the page load speed, especially for dial up users (always got your best interests as heart JW!).
As ever, let me know whether you like it or if you preferred the old system.
Cheers

on my laptop I just get file names. Sending this from my desktop where I get the thumbnails as you promised. Help?!? I usually use my laptop. It is a Sony Vaio using XP. I guess I am not going to be the only one commenting....
Sorry to be a pain

Bruce... patience! ;)
I like it... (so far!) :)
(Here's an idea - could Manos' and chrisallse's attachments just be shown as filenames - they are all repeats!! :D )

There was a short time when the links were just text while the system created thumbnails for every image in the system, but you should find that you get the thumbnails on your laptop now. With 60,000 posts to process it took a little while!

must have been a transitory thing. Just rebooted my laptop and it works now. You must have made changes while I was logged on!

Like the new system.
I seem to be getting a mixture of file names and tumbnails. Could this be that my dial-up conection is very slow and it's taking a while for the images to download?

Update: ignore the above; you replied in the time it took me to type this post....
