Hi guys need reassurance!!
Engineers were in to do some work and replaced my wires to the engine but left everything in disconnected. I am looking for confirmation as I am scared to death of ending up with 24v!!
I have two bats so. a pos connection to each from bat switch, return fron engine to one neg and a connecting cable to other neg with the bus bar connection coming from it. Does that sound ok??

both battery negatives are strapped together as you describe,with buss bar and the pos together via the switch then they are in parallel....12volts:)
to get 24 you would need only one battery connected to negative and the other battery connected to pos, and a short lead from the first battery pos to second battery neg.
as you dont have a lead with a pos one end and a neg the other end(different size terminals) it shouldnt be possible to cock it up:D

So as i have a switch it would be this;
seperate lead from switch to both pos, lead from eng to one neg, coupling from one neg to other and BB lead from that one and I am ok to work Bat switch ?
I hate batteries and wiring!!!:eek::crazy:
