Garmin 550sLeapy 30 March 2009, 13:03 Have a Gramin 550s...very pleased with it. Be even more pleased if I could work out how to get it understand GMT BST. It seems the only option is WET (Western European Time) and so the GPS (and VHF) are an hour out. I've trawled through the manual and the functions of the unit itself but to no avail. OK...got the Garmin to read the correct time but the Icom VHF reads UTC (one hour behind). For distress and urgency working, the Coastguard work in UTC. All such relay broadcasts are timed using UTC. I would just leave it alone.
