Weird JRC aerial/reflector thing

I saw a very strange looking unit on top of a trawler the other day. It looked like a cross between a radar scanner and a luneburg lens reflector.

Basically it was 3 round balls sticking out from a radar dish. It was made by JRC if I remember rightly - white in colour.

Anyone got any ideas? I thought it may just be a fancy radar reflector but can't find it on JRCs website.

I will take photos if it's still there.

Sounds like a tri-lens radard reflector. They have a mount on the top so that you can place an aerial or perhaps a radar unit on top.

No I have one of those myself - the balls are much wider spaced.

Sounds like a JLR-20 or JLR-30 GPS compass:
