Hi ribsters,
I am waiting delivery of my new plotter, a lowrance LMS 527cdf. I am now looking to buying the navionics card for the North Wales area. The unit will accept MMC or SD cards but which version should I go for and why? are there any pros and cons? are both types available in the UK?

thanx,

I thought Navionics charts only came on SD, could be wrong though.

SD is just the modern incarnation of MMC. SD allows the data on the card to be secure by locking it into the card ID ( i think).

This lot will explain it
