Floscan

Bern Hanreck and I have a flowscan on our co-owned Ribcraft 5.85.

Does anyone know if they need calibrating or are they factory set.

JCW - The answer is yes - they are factory calibrated and you can calibrate them yourself as well for greater accuracy. It should tell all in the instructions!

the next time we fill up the tank will give us an idea how accurate our floscan is. Last weekend we filled the tank to the brim (180 litres) and according to the floscan we used 105 litres and covered 80 (statute miles). This seems excessive for a Yam 100HP fourstroke.

Unfortunately we have no instructions for the floscan and I was unable to find any info on their website.

I have complete instructions, installation guide and trouble shooting guide for a floscan. I'll photocopy em for you and either mail em or we can meet up for a beer.

I would be most grateful if you can do that for me.

Our floscan diplayed we used 102 litres. We actually used 78.

1) Is a 25% error a calibration issue or do you think there could be a problem.

2) What accuracy should we expect from the floscan

Hi Folks

Think they indicate about 1%, in fact have not got my install sheets to hand but dont even think you can change the calibration by 25%, seem to remember it goes somthing like +/- 6 or 8% max.

So from that me thinks you may have a problem, either that or put me down for one of you self filling fuel tanks:p
