I have several Simrad DSC VHF's and you can enter the mmsi yourself and I think you can with all models, obviously you just need the manual.

If this is not the case give datayacht in Lymington a buz and speak to Jenny and Im sure she will sort it out. They are very good.

Need the instruction manual?? - which lorry did this fall off!!

A lot of radios (the Icom for example) will only let the user set the MMSI once easily! - After this you need to have it done by the factory or somebody with the special cables!

Anyway... Now to try and be helpfull! - Does anyone speak Norweigen?

www.skanti.dk

Ah thats better - in English - and they have the manual for the radio but on a locked page of their site - maybe a nice e-mail to the enquiries and they might send you a copy!!

Failing that their UK dealer is marconi - www.marconi-marine.com

Cheers
Jools

ps - MMSI - Maritime Mobile Subscriber Identifier;)

Thanks for the info

This one says only the dealer can put in the MMSI  Thanks Jools for the slur on my character It was legit but only has the handset & standard operator manuals.
