Yamaha Digital Tacho

Hi

Does any member know if a new Yamaha Digital Tacho (part of speedo/tacho kit 6YR-W0035-48) will fit a 2-stroke Yamaha 40HP, 3 cylinder engine (6H4 model, 1995), manual trim, tilt and start?

As far as I know - there are 2 digital tachos available - just need to know compatibility for my particular engine. Pretty sure there's a polarity switch on the reverse of tachos for 2 stroke, which again as far as I know should be set to 12. Can anyone throw any light on this.

Not 100% sure but arnt the new one's only compatable with the new central bus system style engine's......could be wrong, sorry not a lot of help. Try asking Charlie @ Ribcraft, what he dont know about engine's aint worth knowing. There tel is on there web site, www.ribcraft.co.uk
