Sub woof woof

Hi Guys
I am planning on installing some audio eqipment on da rib!
I bought a Sony hr70mx head unit and some sony marine speakers.
the problem is..... :] ...can i mount the bass speaker in the bottom centre of the console facing towards the back of the rib without causing and interference with gps, compass, etc?
any ideas?

I dunno about the gauss levels that would create but your compass would soon tell you if it was a problem!

However unless it has to go there for space reasons then bear inmind that bass is omni directional and can be mounted anywhere in the vicinity. What is the xover point of your bass system.


Also bear in mind that there is a lot of stuff in the console that may like to contribute to your total lisyening experience by resonating.

If I recall Hugh Jardon installed a good system on his boat, try PM'ing him and asking if he had any problems.
