Lowrance fuel info

Has anyone linked a Lowrance chartplotter to the Suzuki engine management to get fuel data, etc and is it worth the trouble?

I raised this one a couple of weeks ago as well. Not many replies, however one thing I did find was that it depends upon the age of your engine as to how much data it gives out from the ECU. I was meaning to phone Suzuki and find out what became available in what years.

I have seen this system been put together on a 70 Suzuki, seemed quite a few wires! seems the unit is quite hi-tec even includes a radar option, you just program in the size of your fuel tanks and then it works out your fuel rate and how much you have left, even if the unit is off it stores the info and will update the display when you next turn it on. I don't think its a cheep bit of kit though, was free with new engines earlier in the year, as Erin said, a good idea to speak to Suzuki.
I have a 2 year old 70 and was considering fitting a unit but am unsure now iv seen it work.

I have it on my Red Bay 650, came standard, great bit of kit. Tells me all the time my LPH at the speed I am doing so I can judge how far I am going to go or not go! I also use a Raymarine as my ploter.

I've got one on a 140 hp, with lcx27, and lmf 400.

It's very useful, the only problem is about the chartplotter, wich has few bugs, sometimes...

But after a reset, all is OK.
