Guys, I am looking for something to get out to the boat when its on a mooring or to get to the beach.

I have found these for sale on ebay at about £160

http://www.retrorepublic.co.uk/ebay/other/Navigator_IIIManual_07_E_only_.pdf

The ebay auction states 4HP engine max however the PDF (above) states 2.5HP max. I have a 4HP Yamaha aux that I would use on this to get me out to the boat and back. Would this be a problem or could I get away with it?

i once had a narwall inflatable with a slatted floor + 2hp honda. Had a max of somthing like 3 or 4 hp. Worked great with honda but one day decided to put merc 5hp 2 stroke on for a laugh but ever time we gave it any welly the wooden transome nearly buckled to the point where we were scared to do it again - but if we took it easy the 5hp was fine so if you are easy on the throttle you should be fine

looks like a bargain, go for it. Just take it easy with the 4hp.

For that money I would consider a second hand Avon redcrest they last for ages!
