Anyone know a good switch board or individual switch. I am sick of switches costing up to £10 each and up to £60 for a panel with 6 on. for something so simple it is silly. Force 4 have a switch panel in their latest catolog that is waterproof for about £25 this has 6 switches on it and looks good value.
My question does anyone have any experience, view, ideas on mending, or places to buy switches.

David, try "carling" switches, as used by sunseeker, sealine etc. waterproof to IP65 I think. merlin equipment, poole or E.C. Smith

Try using an industrial IP65 rated type switch. They are modular, i.e. you can change the actuator switch and the contact block independantly of each other. Something like a Moeller or Square-D would be Ideal. Also the advantage is you can choose any type (rocker, lever, momentary push button, keylock) of actuator switch and any type of base to accompany it i.e. normally open or closed, illuminated etc. Also, depending on what type you go for, you can put three to six different contacts on each switch, very neat and easy to fault find or replace etc. They can be quite dear but shop around. I have used these switches on my RIB since I got it to years ago and despite having spares I have not had to replace any as yet! You will need a bit of roon below the console however as they are around an inch or more deep. Will post a pic of my switchgear later on. If you need more info let me know.

Took the panel off the wekend for some pre-season tarting up. Just took a pic of it on the office floor. Let me know if you would like a sample switch. I can get this stuff at a very good discount.

Try www.aqua-marine.co.uk they stock Roca panels, very good value at £23.52 for a 3 switch version, and available from most good chandlers.
