Lost my squelch... Icom ???Scotty 24 August 2006, 07:42 The squelch on my icom radio has gone ! The radio appears to work fine (I did a radio check with coastguard) but I cant seem to adjust the squelch. When I turn the squelch knob fully from one side to the other I get no noise. Seems to be a common problem. Try pulling the knob off and then seeing if the pot underneath moves. If it doesn't then apply WD40, clean up the pot and gently try and get it moving with pliers. Its a 401 model with the dsc unit seperate.
