My 6 month old Silva S10 developed a display problem after a particularly rough trip back to Plymouth from Newton Ferrers last week. The VHF functioned fine, but the display was blank.

On monday, i posted it back to SILVA

It arrived late Tuesday Morning

I got a BRAND NEW replacement this afternoon (Wednesday) delivered to work, from silva at no cost.

Thanks to Silva for really outstanding customer service, its nice to know that there are still some companies that actually care about the customer .:thumbs:

felt i must add to this ,at the weekend my silva S12 got wet and stopped working it was only splashed with a couple of waves tried charging it and it melted the charger ,on my return contacted silva direct and explained what had happened and that it was approx 3 months out of warranty that was tuesday today friday i recieved a brand new radio
you only really judge a company when things go wrong , i give top marks to silva for putting the customer first superb!

Silva seems to really turned a corner in customer satisfaction.

I bought a Silva S10 from the LBS back in 2004. I never had a problem with it...Ever. Earlier this year I heard that they where recalling a large batch of S10's and that they had changed company they used to build/assemble these products for quality reasons.

As a result I recieved a brand new S10 DSC Radio in January, so a big :thumbs: to Silva for changing their ways.
