Has anyone used gpsbabel to create lists of formatted positions?

I would like to create a simple list of positions for wrecks around the uk that can be converted to any of the waypoint formats listed at their site.

gpsbabel (http://www.gpsbabel.org/index.html)

This can then be used as a back up in case we do something to the SD card its stored on, saw 1Gb for £14! not bad and it wasnt at Lidl!

Cracked on with this a bit now and it isnt as hard as I made it look, the basic file of positions for Lowrance is very simple just three long coloumns of data North or South first, in decimal i.e. 56.32459 then the same for West or East use a minus to denote West or South then the name of the waypoint.

Save this as a .csv file MS Excel then put it through gpsbabel, hey presto a monster list of positions - which may or may not be accurate so thats the rest of my life sorted out I'll see you all out there I'll be the one with the long beard.
