You may well find you need an MSVA test to register it. That won't be cheap. Google MSVA and see what you get. slimtim 30 June 2006, 22:51 hi pop, I'm probably going to get one of these to raz around my woods on. 125cc from www.myfirstchopper.com. £550 delivered! Anyway, a couple of mates have them and I think to make them road legal you need a speedo, number plate and lights if you use it after dark. You will obviously need to register it with someone and pay insurance. That probably doesn't really give u any indication of price though. Perhaps email myfirstchopper, they may do a road legal kit. Tim pop 01 July 2006, 07:51 they do make a road legal one but it looks crap. I am thinking of this rampage pit bike 125cc £343 delivered have a look www.poweroffroad.com i want to use mine to get to the rib. do u know anything about them? my mate loves his  Nos4r2 01 July 2006, 09:26 I'd buy the road legal one if you've got a bike licence. It'll be less stressed than the 125cc and you won't have to mess about getting a speedo drive to fit-you can always change the speedo and lights that do look bloody awful after you register it. Original motors in these are the old Honda 90 lumps copied and overbored to 125cc The 150cc one in the road legal looks like an overbored copy of the pushrod cg125 engine. CG125 engines lasted forever. fast fred 01 July 2006, 11:47 back in the day when messed with bikes, the off road one didn't come with an ALT' set up for chargein the batt for the lites. some offroad models thay didn't make a chargein setup for the motor. maybe check that out be for you buy. i run a thing called a Powerboard, it's a standup scooter with like a skateboard bace and fat tires, it's hotroded goes about 42or3. it's fun, sips gas.;) |
