Hey I was wondering (another stupid question) if theres any sort of cover or type of spraypaint that can stay on your engine while your acutaly driving and not storing the boat? My boat is all black and then i have a Honda which is silver so it looks sort of silly :)

I would think any spray paint desiged for cars will be fine for an engine hood.
The only damage it will do to it is to its re-sale value - theres no way i would buy an engine that had been re-sprayed away from the factory colours.

No reason why you shouldn't have a cover tailored to fit the engine as long as vents are not obscured.
Our Special Forces have covers made to cover the engines on various ribs.
Use a non-proofed canvas type material - it is less likely to scratch the paint.
Covercare in fareham can make them - although I notice you are across the pond and this may not be of much use to you - but it might be for others.

If you had a really nice job done of the cover and re-applied the graphics it would look good. Any decent car body guy could do the job. Modern plastic primers are superb. Most colour coded bumpers are painted plastic. If your cover gets hot, then the colour of it will be the last of your worries!!

Why not just paint your boat silver to match the engine cover!

yep this is a great one, keep em coming
black and silver would not look bad at all in my view but if you want to paint the engine black well ugh you will kill the resale value, give it some time and see if it grows on you
