Look what's fallen off now

On the way back from Weymouth, doing our best to keep up speed in a head sea, suddenly heard the hand microphone of the radio bouncing loose. Closer inspection showed the plastic of the microphone back had given way with a crack, and the magic semi circle of plastic inside the microphone had fractured. Thus we have now a perfectly fine clip attached to the console, and a microphone which will no longer stay attached to it.

Currently held in place with duck tape.

Solutions?

BTW it is a Navman 6100

Thanks

Bruce

warranty replacement, if you are going to keep the radio then I'd consider using some commercial spec Velcro instead

Similar thing happened to me yesterday, making good progress into a lumpy head sea there was a crack and something came loose. Unfortunately it was my front tooth! I'd managed to nut the ss grab handle on the console, can't tell you how it looks cause wife and kids dissolve into laughter every time I show them. Dentist at 3 today! :D

Bruce, are you totally sure it's only a one year warenty. I have a Navman 7100 and seem to recall it coming with a 2 year warrenty (bought it about a year ago). I think if you send off the registration form they do the extra year....

I may well be totally wrong though

Have they caught the little F***ers yet?
Hope when they do they string them up!

Truth is they will get a slap on the wrist or an ASBO!
