Where's the best place to get modest amounts of single and twin core tinned copper cable either Southampton area or mail order?

Most of the mail order places either don't sell it or want £££/m. Aquafax has been recommended before which is OK if you want 100m.

Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike,

I got mine from Alladins cave chandlery at Deacons Boatyard in Bursledon. Can buy it by the metre.
They also have a good selection of fuse boards and bus bars etc. have just fitted a six way blade fues box with integrated positive and negative busbars.
Has made re-wiring the boat a doddle.

Ive just done the same using the same product by blue sea marine (i think) and from the same place, makes life nice and easy when doing the wiring. Also very cheap as well for marine stuff 10-15 quid if my memory serves me.

All our boats now have merlin tinned cable and heatshrink connectors on - normal copper cable and regular car connectors don't last much longer than 1 season before corrosion sets in - just strip back a power cable and have a look!
