My humminbird GPS / Depth finder got very wet during some recent heavy rain. It stopped working so I opened it up to let the water out   . Dried it out on a sunny window ledge and tried it again this morning..... only getting a blue screen on the lcd display :@ :@ . It is gone forever ? All comments welcome please.

Was it just rain (ie fresh water) that got it soaked or was their salt water involved.
If salt water you way find that its lost.
either way - try giving the bords a coat of the good old WD40 and as you say leave the thiung in the sun to dry out every drop of water you can even try putting it in the oven if its got a suitably low setting like 50 or 60 degrees C.
I managed to save a laptop this way after a pint of milk was spilt over it.
